Ramblers'
Association
The Ramblers'
Association exists to facilitate, for the benefit of everyone, the
enjoyment and discovery that walking outdoors can bring; and to promote
respect
for the life of the countryside.
The association encourages
walking; protects
rights of way; defends the beauty of the countryside; and has
campaigned for
many years for freedom to roam over uncultivated, open country.
The association is a democratic,
voluntary
organisation, registered as a charity (no. 306089).

How
far
We have walks ranging from five to fifteen miles, but most are 10-12
miles.
Please see our current Walks
Programme.
Social
Programme
We have an active Social
Programme which include weekends away as well as other special
events.
Other
activities
The committee and members have
always placed
a high priority on the monitoring of the footpaths. The group is
consulted on
all planning issues potentially affecting the large path system we
cover, and
we actively report and check problems with footpaths in our area.
We pride ourselves on having an
intimate
practical awareness of all the hundreds of miles of footpaths in our
area and
in the efforts we make to maintain and improve the system we enjoy.
Warwickshire is fortunate in having a general awareness of the value of
its
environment amongst the people who live in the County, and we cooperate
with
all the organisations associated with the countryside, including the
farmers
and the Warwick District Council, to preserve and improve the footpath
system.
